Work Place Learning

I have been researching learning in the workplace, and the need to have sufficient training in the workplace. Basically, what I have found is that If a company doesn't invest money in training, then the overall learning pace is slowed. You have to have a good training program for employees, because most places of work have a steep learning curve when there is no proper training. Some trends in workplace learning include increased pressure on employees, (i.e. - tighter deadlines). Give employees every opertunity to learn. The more they learn, the better they do their job.

  1. I do agree that a company has to invest money, but at what point do you say "enough is enough"? JetBlu for examples spends tremendous amounts of money for their "Universities" and there isn't offical non-objective data to show the results. And couldn't one also make the point that a person who can train on the steep trend might be a better and harder working employee in the long run? Does a company need a person that they have to reiterate the facts several times for them to comprehend?
